Christopher Alderdice commander of the 181st Intelligence Wing based in Terre Haute. Alderdice succeeds Brig. Gen. Kip Clark, who was recently promoted to chief of staff of the Indiana Air National Guard.
Alderdice will leave the 122nd Mission Support Group in Fort Wayne to begin his new role in Terre Haute. He says he is excited to join the wing, also known as the "Racers."
"I am blessed with the prospect of leading the extremely talented men and women of the 181st Intelligence Wing and its unique missions of providing Battlefield Airmen and Intelligence support to combat operations around the globe," said Alderdice. "I look forward to continuing the tradition of community engagement and support to the patriotic people of Terre Haute and Vigo County."
Alderdice is a 37-year veteran of the U.S. armed forces and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
