News Release
Kokomo, Ind. — Kokomo's first comedy club is set to open on Thursday, June 12th. It is downtown Kokomo's second entertainment venue to open in the past week.
Opening weekend comedians scheduled to perform at the Laugh House Comedy Club include Kenny Smith, Jeff Oskay and Cleveland.
“I plan to host some of the biggest names in comedy,” said owner/comedian Mike Gardner. “For June we've booked Donnie Baker from The Bob and Tom show, Steve-O from Jackass and Jamie Kennedy from the hit movies Malibu's Most Wanted and Scream.”
The influx of private investment and new shops attracted Mike to downtown.
“People are looking for entertainment options in a downtown setting,” said Mike Gardner. “The Laugh House compliments downtown Kokomo's existing entertainment venues. The goal is to attract a diverse and wider demographic to Kokomo's entertainment scene.”
While the Laugh House will host nationally known comedians on weekends, during the week it doubles as a dining and entertainment venue.
Located inside the Laugh House is Bella Pizzeria, a New York style eatery, which will open every day for lunch and dinner. More than 50 specialty and local craft beers are available at Hopology, Laugh House's craft beer and pizza bar. Guests can also retreat downstairs for the warm and inviting atmosphere of the Laugh House's cigar bar.
The Laugh House, located in downtown Kokomo at 113 E. Sycamore St., is open seven days week from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.; extended hours Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
