Comcast Launches Mobile Service

Comcast Corp. (Nasdaq: CMCSA) has launched wireless phone and data service. Xfiniti Mobile will have cellular and WiFi coverage nationwide and store locations in Indianapolis, Bloomington and Greenwood.

The company touts its cellular and WiFi networks, which includes 4G LTE coverage and more than 17 million hotspots throughout the country, over 524,000 of which are in Indiana. Comcast has been growing its WiFi footprint in recent years, and last year, installed hundreds of hotspots in cities including Bloomington, Lafayette, West Lafayette, Frankfort and Crawfordsville.
