They will Saturday host the annual 2020 Bleed Blue Blood Drive at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The organizations say blood donations are especially important right now during the pandemic. Blood banks throughout the state have canceled events due to the risk of the coronavirus.
Versiti says O-negative blood is especially needed as that blood type is universal and be used on patients with any blood type.
The blood center will also be accepting COVID-19 convalescent plasma donations at Bleed Blue. Antibody-rich plasma donations from those who were previously infected with coronavirus and have since recovered are proving vital to help other patients recover.

Free parking will be available for all donors in the south lot of Lucas Oil Stadium. Donors should enter the stadium through the East Gate.

Organizers say unlike in years past, free babysitting will not be offered. Donors are asked not to bring additional visitors or family members. They also say on-field activities will not be offered this year.
Donors will be pre-screened, including temperature, at the stadium.
