Colts to Unveil Peyton Manning Statue

Subscribe NowThe Indianapolis Colts will Saturday unveil the bronze statue of Peyton Manning outside Lucas Oil Stadium. The ceremony is part of a week-long celebration honoring Manning, including his induction into the Ring of Honor and the retirement of his jersey during halftime of Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.
The unveiling ceremony is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. Saturday outside the north end of the stadium. Gates will open at 12:00 p.m. at the intersection of Capitol and South Streets. The first 20,000 fans will receive special edition posters and there will be autograph sessions with Blue and the Colts Cheerleaders as well as a Peyton Manning memorabilia display.
Plans for the statue, the Ring of Honor induction and the jersey retirement were announced in May. In a news release, manning called the announcement a "tremendous honor."
Manning will be the first player in the Colts’ Indianapolis era to have his jersey retired. He will be the 14th member of the Ring of Honor, following the most recent induction of Bill Polian in 2016.
