The first Indianapolis Colts preseason game is scheduled for August 27 against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Colts will then take on the Washington Redskins in primetime on Monday Night Football.
The Colts regular season kicks off with a trip to Jacksonville, where the Colts have lost five straight games, including 2016’s contest at London’s Wembley Stadium. Indianapolis will host Minnesota in week two for the first time since 2012. The Vikings are one of five 2019 playoff teams on the Colts 2020 schedule.
Week three features a home game versus the New York Jets, which will be the 71st time the two teams will have met. The Colts make the short trip to Chicago for week four to face the Bears, and week five has the horseshoe on the road to Cleveland.
The Cincinnati Bengals come to the Circle City in week six. The Colts are 17-12 all-time against the Bengals in the regular season. Week seven is a bye followed by a trip to Detroit to face the Lions in week eight, where the Colts have not played since 2012. The Baltimore Ravens and MVP Lamar Jackson come to Indianapolis in week nine. The Colts have not been beaten in five contests versus the Ravens at home.
Week 10 features a short drive down I-65 to face the Tennessee Titans in Nashville in primetime on Thursday Night Football. Indianapolis is set to host the Green Bay Packers in Week 11 for the first time since 2012. The Colts hold an all-time advantage against the Packers of 22-20-1.
Week 12 has the Titans coming to Indianapolis for the teams’ second meeting of the season. Indy is 10-2 against the Titans in the last 12 games at home. The Colts travel to Houston to face the defending division champion Texans in week 13.
Week 14 has the Colts making their inaugural trip to Las Vegas to face the newly relocated Raiders, who beat the Colts in a week four matchup last year in Indy by a score of 31-24. The Texans come to Indianapolis in week 15, where they historically don’t fare too well. The Texans lost 13 consecutive games in Indianapolis between 2002-2014.
The Colts will travel to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers for the second straight season in week 16. The Steelers lead the all-time series 19-6 and have won the last six matchups. The Colts end the regular season at home against the Jaguars in week 17.
The NFL says they are preparing to play the 2020 season as scheduled, but with increased safety protocols. The league says officials will be ready to make changes in order to hold games in as safe a way as possible.
