The Indianapolis Colts have named Brian A.D Richardson, Jr. director of diversity, equity & inclusion. He most recently held the same position at the Indiana University O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Prior to that, Richardson served as assistant diversity director at the IU School of Public Health.

Before joining IU, he worked in a variety of roles at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, including assistant director of multicultural affairs and club sports, residence life area coordinator and coordinator of multicultural affairs.

Richardson earned a bachelor’s degree in sport and fitness administration/management from Culver-Stockton College in Missouri and a master’s degree in kinesiology and exercise science from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. He also is currently an IU doctoral student in higher education and student affairs.
