News Release

Carmel, IN – April 23, 2014 – An outward focus to attract corporate investments and jobs repositions Hamilton County Alliance with a new name and approach. The Alliance will return to the original name of Hamilton County Economic Development Corporation, while positioning its marketing strategy to Invest Hamilton County Indiana.

The Hamilton County Economic Development Corporation (HCED) will redirect 80% of its effort on sales and marketing to increase awareness of the county's business climate among corporate decision makers and site consultants. To support the new focus, the HCED has reorganized staff, tailored a website for the target audience, updated by-laws, and strategically planned sales trips and trade shows.

“These changes within the HCED are a result of a strategic planning process that began in the fall of 2013 in order to address the competitive business recruitment landscape nationally,” says Tim Monger President & CEO.

For marketing expertise, HCED has entered into a partnership with Hamilton County Tourism, Inc. The collaborative effort will take place over two years and draws on tourism’s proven marketing successes outside of central Indiana. Services provided by tourism include digital marketing, publication creation, and brand development.

The new invest mark reflects the added emphasis on marketing the area. “Our mark clearly states the organization's business goals. We want new and existing business to invest in Hamilton County. This is also a call to action for the people associated with these new jobs, to invest their time and talent in our communities,” says Monger.

The Hamilton County Economic Development Corporation is a partnership of business and local government, including Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Westfield, Sheridan, Arcadia, Cicero, Atlanta and Hamilton County. This public-private partnership exists to promote and enhance the business climate, economic vitality and sustainability, and quality of life of Hamilton County. HCED seeks to foster corporate investment and job creation, to broaden the tax base through the development of commercial and industrial real estate in Hamilton County
