Carmel-based CNO Financial Group Inc. has promoted Jean Linnenbringer to senior vice president of enterprise operations. She had been serving as interim enterprise operations lead. Linnenbringer will be responsible for customer service, claims and operations support for CNO’s Bankers Life, Washington National and Colonial Penn business segments. She replaces Mike Heard, who was named president of Washington National in March.

Linnenbringer joined CNO in June 2015 as vice president of customer service. She spent 15 years at Genworth Financial in multiple roles, most recently as senior vice president, chief operational risk officer. Linnenbringer earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Strayer University and a Master of Emergency Management from the University of Richmond.
