The Anderson Plan Commission has given unanimous approval for an amended primary plat that helps clear the way for construction of two hotels on the southeast side of the city.  The Herald Bulletin reports the hotels will be part of a commercial development called Scatterfield Commons.

The publication says developers plan to build a Tru by Hilton and an Avid by IHG hotels. The site was selected because of its proximity to Hoosier Park Racing & Casino and the north side of Indianapolis.

Developers hope to break ground by winter with construction taking about 18 months.
