Officials from South Shore Clean Cities and School City of East Chicago are set to announce Monday a project described as the first of its kind in northwest Indiana. The project involves alternative fuel transportation that aims to improve city air quality and student respiratory health.
Carl Lisek, executive director of South Shore Clean Cities, will join School City of East Chicago Superintendent Paige McNulty and other officials for the announcement. No other details were released.
The announcement is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Monday at the School City of East Chicago administration building.
