The Indiana Economic Development Corp. says the project is being fueled by a financing round led by Ohio-based NCT Ventures. Construction on the new facility is expected to begin later this year.
10X says it will develop innovative technologies that will enable it to produce new material products from industrial byproducts or under-utilized resources. Jacob Vaillancourt, officer of 10X, says the company was looking for a location with pro-growth policies when deciding where to locate its operations.
"10X is playing an active role in securing a sustainable future through game-changing innovation," said Vaillancourt. "The well-known ‘Hoosier Hospitality’ has been refreshing and we are excited to become a contributing and cooperative member of the community. The industrial talent of Indiana’s workforce will be critical for us as we continue to develop and manufacture next-generation material products in Indiana and across the country."
The new jobs associated with the project include a plant manager, skilled maintenance and manufacturing associates, administrators, and salespeople. The jobs are expected to offer salaries above the county average wage and those interested can find more information by clicking here.
The IEDC has offered 10X up to $145,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $100,000 in training grants. The company will not be eligible to claim the incentives until Hoosier workers are hired. Additional incentives will be considered by the city of Wabash.
