Clark Appliances to Auction Last of Inventory

A more than century-old Indiana retail chain will auction its entire remaining inventory this month. Clark Appliances closed its last of four stores in January after filing for bankruptcy last year. Indianapolis-based Key Auctioneers is running the two-day sale at Clark's Greenfield warehouse. March 9, 2015

Indianapolis, Ind. (March 6, 2015) – After more than 100 years in business, one of the Indianapolis area's leading appliance retailers, Clark Appliance, is closing its doors. The company previously filed for bankruptcy protection and has closed all four of its stores. The company's entire inventory will be auctioned over two days along with the company's vehicles and equipment.

Key Auctioneers announced that it would be conducting an absolute auction of all of Clark's inventory, vehicles and equipment on March 28–29 at Clark's warehouse location at 3802 N. Mount Comfort Road in Greenfield. Thousands of name-brand appliances are expected to sell at significant discounts, including appliances from Viking, Whirlpool, Frigidaire, KitchenAid, Maytag, Subzero and GE. The appliances will include ranges, refrigerators, cooktops, wine coolers and grills.

The two-day auction will also include warehousing equipment and vehicles such as service vans, box trucks, trailers and field vehicles. Day one will feature the vehicles as well as all new, still-in-box appliances. Day two will consist of showroom displays, out-of-box but never owned appliances, scratched and dented inventory, repair parts, returned merchandise and warehousing equipment.

The auction will take place Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Clark Appliance warehouse at 3802 N. Mount Comfort Road, Greenfield, IN 46140. Online bidding will also be available. An inspection of available items will be available on-site on Friday, March 27 at 10 a.m. EST.
