Catalyst One, as the multi-tenant building is called, is home to several high-tech businesses. Great Lakes Capital Development LLC began work on the park two years ago.
The city says Catalyst One houses MicroIntegration, Data Realty, Aunalytics and has space for additional startups. A ceremony to open Catalyst Two, which includes the University of Notre Dame Turbomachinery facility took place in June.
In addition to the city, Notre Dame and Great Lakes Capital, partners on development at the park include the Indiana Economic Development Corp., General Electric Co. and Fort Wayne-based Indiana Michigan Power. Ignition Park is located on the grounds of the former Studebaker factory, which is seeing a surge in attention and redevelopment efforts in recent years.
In May, RDistrict One LLC secured $23 million in financing to move forward on its redevelopment efforts involving the nearby, former Studebaker Assembly plant.
Attendees expected Wednesday’s ribbon-cutting include Mayor Pete Buttigieg and officials from the city, Great Lakes Capital, IEDC and the business community.
