City OKs Medical Campus Funds

The city of Evansville continues to step up to support the planned downtown campus for the Indiana University School of Medicine. The city council has approved a $57 million bond for the project. The Courier and Press reports several aspects of the plan still have to fall in line, including the acquisition of the property by June 1.

More funding for the campus is expected to be in the two-year state budget that lawmakers will pass next year.
