City OKs Incentives For Expansion

American Renolit Corp. is moving forward with a $1.5 million expansion in La Porte. Our partners at the The Times of Northwest Indiana report the company, which produces plastic films for the graphic design and advertising industries, has received tax credits to help cover new building space and equipment. Renolit has been in La Porte since 1998 currently employs more than 170 in the city.

Construction could begin next month and is expected to wrap up by year’s end.

The expansion is a result of anticipated, continued growth and potential new product lines.
