She began her career at Simon Property Group as director of marketing and business development at Castleton Square Mall in Indianapolis and Indian River Mall in Vero Beach, Florida. Payne also gained additional sales, promotion and marketing management experience with AIMCO, Landis&Gyr, RE/MAX and the IU School of Informatics and Computing at IUPUI, before working as a marketing consultant. With her return to Simon, she brings 17 years of marketing experience to her new position at Circle Centre Mall in downtown Indianapolis. In her new role, Payne will be responsible for the creation, development and implementation of an overall strategic marketing plan for the shopping center. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Purdue University.
