New Albany-based Cimtech broke ground Tuesday on a $2.7 million expansion at its Floyd County headquarters. The company, which provides precision manufacturing services to a variety of industries, says the project will allow it to grow staff and increase capacity.
Cimtech provides precision machined parts, fabrication, welding, bending, engineering, and design services for clients throughout the country, including the U.S. Department of Defense.
The expansion will add 14,000 square feet to the company’s 22,000-square-foot headquarters in New Albany. Cimtech’s facility in Louisville is not included in the project.
“We are thrilled to be at the point of expansion at our Southern Indiana headquarters,” a Cimtech spokesperson said in an email to Inside INdiana Business. “It has been a long time dream that is coming to fruition because of the hard work of our dedicated team members and the amazing support and collaboration of our partners.”
Cimtech currently has nearly 40 employees and plans to add more than five positions as a result of the expansion.
