CIB Spending Coming Into Focus
The Capital Improvement Board in Indianapolis will disclose today, for the first time ever, how much money Pacers Sports and Entertainment makes from events at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Our partners at WTHR-TV report the disclosure is required under the agreement the city signed with the Pacers. The new contract also requires the CIB to report every June how many people are employed at Bankers Life Fieldhouse and how much money was collected in taxes.
The hope is that by disclosing the information to the CIB and public, there will be more transparency involving the use of tax dollars.
