Chipotle Mexican Grill will host an interview day next week at its Indiana restaurants. The company plans to open several more stores within the year and is looking to hire more than 100 workers.

News Release

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Chipotle Mexican Grill hosts an interview day for interested candidates to visit any of the 27 current Indiana Chipotle restaurants to interview for a job. With plans to open several more stores within the year, Chipotle hopes to hire close to 100 new entry-level Crew members.

With a company culture that starts with its people, Chipotle hires Crew members to become the future leaders of the company. With the summer job season approaching, Chipotle offers an opportunity unlike other fast-food companies. In addition to benefits such as receiving paid breaks and free meals, ninety-eight percent of managers are hired from within and nearly all of the leaders began as entry-level Crew members.

“We want to open our Indiana stores to interested candidates on Wednesday, May 20, to not only give them the opportunity to meet face-to-face with a manager, but also so we can share the opportunities for career advancement at Chipotle and our dedication to the development of employees, whether it’s a part-time summer job or full-time position,” says Recruiting Strategist Lisa Iker.

Chipotle’s Restauranteur program highlights these opportunities for career growth. Once team members reach the level of Restauranteur, a top performing position within Chipotle’s career path, individuals can earn six-figure salaries. Candidates have the opportunity to interview with a manager with no appointment necessary. No resume or application is needed, just the embodiment of Chipotle’s 13 characteristics of: ambitious, happy, smart, polite, respectful, honest, conscientious, presentable, curious, motivated, hospitable, high energy and infectiously enthusiastic.

WHEN: Wednesday, May 20, 2015; 8:00 a.m.-10 a.m.; 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

ABOUT CHIPOTLE

Steve Ells, founder, chairman and co-CEO, started Chipotle with the idea that food served fast did not have to be a typical fast food experience. Today, Chipotle continues to offer a focused menu of burritos, tacos, burrito bowls (a burrito without the tortilla) and salads made from fresh, high-quality raw ingredients, prepared using classic cooking methods and served in a distinctive atmosphere. Through our vision of Food With Integrity, Chipotle is seeking better food from using ingredients that are not only fresh, but that—where possible—are sustainably grown and Responsibly Raised with respect for the animals, the land, and the farmers who produce the food. In order to achieve this vision, we focus on building a special people culture that is centered on creating teams of top performers empowered to achieve high standards. This people culture not only leads to a better dining experience for our customers, it also allows us to develop future leaders from within. Chipotle opened with a single restaurant in 1993 and currently operates more than 1,800 restaurants including nine ShopHouse Southeast Asian Kitchen restaurants, and is an investor in an entity that owns and operates two Pizzeria Locale restaurants.
