Harrison College's Chef's Academy has named Vincent Kinkade dean of academic affairs. He previously served as a corporate chef for Illinois-based U.S. Foods Inc.

Indianapolis, Ind. — The Chef's Academy, the Culinary Division of Harrison College, a private sector college serving more than 4,000 students worldwide, announced today the hiring of Chef Vincent Kinkade as dean of academic affairs. As the new campus dean, Chef Kinkade will assume a leadership role and focus on furthering the development and success of The Chef's Academy's students. Additionally, he will manage all faculty members at the college, administer school policies and procedures, assist in the development of the academic budget and establish and maintain the high quality standards in the delivery of The Chef's Academy's educational services.

Chef Kinkade brings 30 years of hospitality management experience, including 12 years in higher education. He most recently served as a corporate chef for U.S. Foods, a leading foodservice distributor. Prior to that, he held the position of program chair for Ivy Tech Community College.

“We are honored to have Chef Kinkade join The Chef's Academy family,” said Ryon Kaopuiki, Indianapolis campus president for The Chef's Academy. “His extensive culinary management and educational experience will help propel our faculty forward and ensure we continue to graduate the next culinary and pastry leaders.”

Chef Kinkade holds two associates degrees in Culinary Arts: from Ivy Tech Community College and New England Culinary Institute; a bachelor's degree in business administration from Hanover College; masters of business administration from the University of Indianapolis; and has pursued his doctorate in Adult, Higher and Community Education from Ball State University.

In addition, Chef Kinkade holds a number of certifications and has received many awards in his 30 years in the culinary industry.
