Reductions at Carmel-based ChaCha will leave it with 16 employees. ChaCha attributes the move to changes in the way Google implements its AdSense algorithm. These changes essentially cut rates on the ads displayed on ChaCha properties.
Chief Executive Officer Scott Jones says the move allows officials to “position the company to be immediately profitable.”
Jones is a partner in Grow INdiana Media Ventures, the parent company of Inside INdiana Business.
