The publishers of a national industry publication have included two Hoosiers in an annual 30 Under 30 issue. The Manufacturing Engineering magazine list includes a Ph.D. candidate in mechanical engineering at the University of Notre Dame and the chief executive officer of an Indianapolis company.

One honoree, Matthew Kelly is focusing his dissertation work at Notre Dame on improving linear friction welding methods for lightweighting in automobile production. Notre Dame says he is working to pursue a career in advanced manufacturing.

Austin Hall is CEO and co-owner of HDH Manufacturing Inc. and an adjunct professor in Advanced CNC Technologies at Ivy Tech Community College. He previously served in various roles for Draper Manufacturing in Indianapolis.
