Center For Performing Arts Reports Surplus

The Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel is reporting a budget surplus for the second year in a row. In its 2014-15 annual report, the venue cites ticket sales, facility rentals and contributed income as drivers for the surplus.
The center says its income was $8.7 million with expenses totaling $8.4 million. The organization quoted the Greater Indianapolis Performing Arts Market Survey which reported that the center has become the fourth most familiar performing arts organization in Indianapolis.
"It was a year of growth and vibrancy across the organization," said President/CEO Tania Castroverde Moskalenko. "With increasing support, we are positioned to accomplish great things by providing more world-class arts and entertainment, interactive learning, and creative community engagement for the region."
The Center for the Performing Arts is in the midst of celebrating its fifth anniversary season.
