Center for Leadership Development Breaks Ground

The 20,000-square-foot addition is funded by the organization’s RISE campaign and will allow the center to accommodate more students and programs.
CLD says its looking to establish satellite locations and in-school programs in low-income, high-crime areas.
“With the trust and support of many, CLD will continue to expand our critical mission and exceptional programs and services to cultivate the highest growth and achievement levels in character, education, leadership, service, and career. We look forward to elevating the potential and success of youth across Central Indiana and beyond for years to come,” said CLD President Dennis Bland.
CLD announced a more than $11.5 million grant from Indianapolis-based Lilly Endowment Inc. in 2019 in support of the RISE campaign. The endowment’s gift includes a 2 to 1 matching dedication, up to $2 million, and the organization is fundraising to achieve its $1 million goal, with the deadline for donations coming on September 30.
