The board of directors for Carmel-based Mesh Systems has promoted Andrew Cohoat to president and CEO, the company announced this week.
Cohoat joined the Internet of Things software and services provider in 2019 and most recently served as president and chief commercial officer.
The appointment coincides with the company’s 20th anniversary. Cohoat succeeds founding CEO Richard Baxter, who will continue with Mesh Systems as executive chairman.
“Andrew’s strategic vision and leadership have been instrumental in our growth over the past six years,” Baxter said in a news release. “His deep understanding of the IoT landscape and proven track record in expanding our market presence make him the ideal leader to guide Mesh Systems into its next chapter of innovation and growth.”
The company said during his tenure thus far, Cohoat has helped Mesh Systems strengthen its position as an industry leader in IoT solutions, expand its client portfolio and accelerate product innovation.
“Over the past two decades, our company has been at the forefront of IoT innovation, helping organizations across industries harness the power of connected technologies,” Cohoat said. “As we mark our 20th anniversary, I’m excited to build on the strong foundation Richard and the team have established while driving new opportunities for growth and technological advancement.”
Founded in 2005, Mesh helps its customers develop and launch internet-connected products ranging from coffee machines to beer tap handles to pest-control systems.
In 2023, Mesh Systems completed a 10,000-square-foot expansion in Carmel, which was dubbed the Mesh ThingsLab. The expansion helped the company develop a high-tech sauce dispenser for Kraft Heinz Co.
