Job seekers will be able to learn about hundreds of jobs at more than 50 businesses during a job and career fair next month in Shelbyville. The event will feature businesses like Cummins Inc. (NYSE:CMI), Indiana Grand Racing & Casino and Duke Energy.

The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce in partnership with WorkOne, Blue River SHRM Group and the Shelby County Development Corporation is hosting a Job and Career Fair on May 6 at Shelbyville High School.

The Job and Career Fair will launch with a Networking Luncheon beginning at 11:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend. The luncheon will feature remarks from Tom DeBaun, Mayor of Shelbyville, and Tom Snyder, President of Ivy Tech Community College. Each participating business has two lunch tickets included with their booth. The luncheon is open to public at a cost of $15 – RSVP is required.

Following the luncheon, the Job and Career Fair will be open to public from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, in the Shelbyville High School’s Garrett Gymnasium.

There are currently over 50 businesses participating representing hundreds of open positions.
