Indiana Republican Party Chairman Jeff Cardwell will resign from his position January 21. Governor-elect Eric Holcomb says he is recommending 5th District Chairman Kyle Hupfer to succeed Cardwell. A caucus will convene February 1 to choose a successor. In addition to serving as 5th district chairman for the Indiana GOP, Hupfer is also chief administrative officer and general counsel of Westfield-based Indiana Mills & Manufacturing Inc. He was also a part of Holcomb’s gubernatorial campaign team. Hupfer previously served as director of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and chairman of the Indiana State Fair Commission. He is also a trustee at Manchester University.
