A new hospital focusing on cancer treatment has opened in Madison County. Our partners at The Herald Bulletin report Community Hospital Anderson's $6.1 million Community Cancer Care Center includes medical oncology services, an outpatient infusion center and on-site pharmacy. The operation is associated with MD Anderson Cancer Network, a program of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

It will also offer care support services for patients who have survived the disease.

The publication reports the 33,000 square-foot pavilion includes additional physician offices and an outpatient center to treat chronic conditions like multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis.
