Subscribe NowGovernor Eric Holcomb and Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch will meet Monday with U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson in East Chicago to discuss efforts to fight lead contamination. The event comes a day before the two will participate in a roundtable discussion with U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue about the federal farm bill in Indianapolis.
Monday’s event will also include Senator Joe Donnelly and Senator Todd Young as well as Representative Pete Visclosky (D-1) and East Chicago Mayor Anthony Copeland. Carson will update progress on USS Lead Superfund site cleanup efforts.
On Tuesday, Holcomb and Crouch as well as representatives from Indiana’s agriculture sector will take part in a roundtable discussion with Perdue regarding the federal farm bill. Perdue will also tour the Indiana State Fair.
A third member of President Trump’s administration will be in Indiana on Friday. Vice President Mike Pence will return to the state for the unveiling of his gubernatorial portrait in the Statehouse.
