A Jasper-based company is seeking tax abatement for expansion plans in Dubois County. MasterBrand Cabinets Inc. has announced plans to invest more than $1 million in new equipment and add 135 jobs this year. The Ferdinand Town Council will host a public hearing on the request in the next few weeks. The manufacturer has six operations throughout the state. A town official tells Inside INdiana Business that meeting has not yet been scheduled.

In March of last year, Masterbrand announced plans to invest nearly $575,000 in its Goshen operations and add 76 jobs.

The company employs 2,800 at six Indiana facilities.
