Butler Consulting Group, Elevate Ventures Partnering

The Butler Business Consulting Group has been selected to take part in Elevate Ventures’ Indiana Seed Fund. The management consulting business at Butler University says the partnership will allow it to double its investments in Indiana businesses through the BBCG Investment Fund.
The BBCG says the selection means the total it can invest in Indiana-based companies jumps from $200,000 to $400,000 per investment.
The group was formed to support Indiana companies by offering strategies to help support profitable growth. It aims to leverage Butler University’s resources to help businesses address challenges and take advantage of unique marketing opportunities through consulting services and its investment fund.
Elevate Ventures launched the Indiana Seed Fund in 2014 with $5.5 million in available capital to invest in Indiana-based startup companies alongside other investment groups. Those groups, like the BBCG, are chosen based on criteria including the ability to invest at least $250,000 in Indiana companies.
BBCG Executive Director Trent Ritzenthaler says the partnership "further enhances the value the BBCG, the Lacy School of Business and Butler can bring to the Indiana business community."
