Business Hall of Fame Laureates Announced

The organization says the honor recognizes those who "epitomize professional success, high moral and ethical standards, and dedication to important civic causes, thereby improving the quality of life in our community."
The honorees will be recognized March 1 at the 30th annual Central Indiana Business Hall of Fame Awards Gala. Jennifer Burk, president and CEO of Junior Achievement, says "Our goal is two fold at the Hall of Fame event: to honor those outstanding individuals in central Indiana who are champions of free enterprise and role models to the youth of the community, and to highlight the importance of providing career exploration, financial literacy, employability/life skills and entrepreneurship programs to today’s students."
The 2018 laureates include:
- Daniel Elsener – President, Marian University
- Tomas Morales – Chief Executive Officer, Morales Group
- Dennis Oklak – Retired Chairman and CEO, Duke Realty Corp. (NYSE: DRE)
- Albert Smith – Chairman, Indiana, JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM)
The organization says, since 1989, 121 laureates have been inducted into the hall of fame.
