Business Advisory Firm Acquired

Indianapolis-based business advisory firm Hamernik LLC has been acquired by BKD CPAs & Advisors, which is headquartered in Missouri. BKD says the addition of the Indiana company will allow it to expand its service capabilities related to business restructuring, turnaround and performance improvement.

Hamernik, which was founded in 1995, is a consulting firm specializing in business restructuring. The Hamernik team will move into BKD’s existing office in Indianapolis.

BKD also has offices in Bloomington, Evansville and Fort Wayne, among 40 offices nationwide.

“BKD has a great reputation, not only in Indiana but nationally.  We believe this will allow us to deepen and expand what we started at Hamernik, by leveraging BKD’s broad pool of resources, skilled professionals, diverse practice areas and geographic coverage,” said Kevin Hamernik, who will lead the firm’s national restructuring and special situations practice.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
