Shipston Equity Holdings LLC, based in New Hampshire, says 3Point will be called Busche Performance Group Southfield Inc. as a result of the merger.
3Point designs and supplies safety-critical suspension components, along with drivetrain, powertrain, and other machined products for vehicles. Busche-Shipston COO Nick Busche says more than 130 of 3Point’s employees and the company’s 136,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in Michigan will be brought into the fold.
"The Busche-Shipston organization now has 10 world class machining operations, one premier work holding and fixturing facility and two superior aluminum design and casting foundries," said Busche. "This combination brings our total employment to over 1,500 strong and our total manufacturing area to over 1.3 million square feet. Also with Busche-Southfield’s strong Engineering and Product design capabilities, we have added a new dimension to the services we can provide to our valued customers."
Busche says the company expects to further its growth through additional acquisitions and organic growth within its current business sectors.
