Buckner Heading to Hall of Fame

Former Indiana University standout and current Pacers broadcaster Quinn Buckner will be inducted into the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame today in Kansas City. Buckner was a co-captain on IU’s undefeated National Championship team in 1976.
Buckner is one of the most prolific winners the sport has ever seen. He is one of just a handful of players in history to win an NCAA Championship, an NBA Championship and an Olympic Gold Medal. He also won a high school state championship while playing in Illinois. He averaged 10 points and 3.8 rebounds per game in four seasons under Bobby Knight at IU.
He had a 10-year NBA career, playing for the Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers, winning a championship with the Celtics in 1984. He was also a member of the 1976 U.S. Olympic gold medal-winning basketball team.
In addition to his role as broadcaster, Buckner also serves as vice president of communications for Pacers Sports & Entertainment.
