News Release

Muncie, Ind. — As the university begins its search for a new president, Ball State officials are seeking public input from a wide array of stakeholders. Public forums have been scheduled for students, alumni, faculty and staff, and community members.

“Appointing the president is one of our most important responsibilities as trustees,” said R. Wayne Estopinal, chair of the search committee and a Ball State University trustee. “The trustees have appointed a search committee comprised of talented people with a deep commitment to the university. The committee will benefit from a well-rounded perspective about what leadership characteristics we should consider in our search. We understand that we are acting on behalf of a very large and proud university community. Early in the process, we want to absorb as much input as possible.”

Those unable to attend the public forums are encouraged to share their perspectives by emailing them to PrezSearch@bsu.edu.

The forums are scheduled for Wednesday, January 15, 2014:

Faculty: 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. in Student Center, Cardinal Hall A

Students: 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. in Student Center, Cardinal Hall A

Staff: 3:00- 4:00 p.m. in Student Center, Cardinal Hall A

Alumni and Community: 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in Alumni Center, Assembly Hall
