After ten years as Ball State University President, Jo Ann Gora will enter retirement after Monday. Provost Terry King will serve as interim president until August 1. Paul Ferguson has been named the university's next president. Gora spoke about the transition earlier this month on Inside INdiana Business Television. Jo Ann Gora brought with her one motto when she arrived at Ball State University in 2004: “Let's get to work.”

During the next ten years, she rolled up her sleeves and helped lead a record-breaking half-billion dollar fundraising campaign.

However, what Gora is most proud of achieving, during her tenure in Muncie, is helping push the university's tagline “Education Refined” into reality.
