Ball State University has hired Beth Neu to run its office of public and community engagement in Fort Wayne. She previously served in economic development roles in the Fort Wayne area and two Virginia cities. The school says Neu will extend Ball State's outreach and engagement throughout northeast Indiana, with a focus on economic development.

She began the role on Monday.

Earlier this month, Ball State emphasized it does not intend to offer any classes at the Fort Wayne office at this time.
