For the second consecutive year, Brown County will play host to the National Maple Syrup Festival. The festival will include a variety of events throughout Brown County March 5 and 6.
The festival includes events such as a maple market, warm maple syrup flights, sap school and guided hikes. Attendees will get to learn the basics of the sugaring process and will be able to see how it’s done for themselves.
A new feature to the festival will occur the previous weekend. The Tap the Town event will be held February 27 in Nashville, where guests will have the chance to tap their own maple tree.

The National Maple Syrup Festival originated in Medora, Indiana in 2010 and moved to Brown County last year. The Brown County Convention and Visitors Bureau says Indiana is the southernmost and westernmost producer of maple syrup.
