Brown County to Celebrate All Things Maple

The National Maple Syrup Festival will return to Brown County for a second time. The festival will be held the first weekend in March 2016.
It will take place at Brown County State Park. Events will also be held at The Story Inn and in Nashville. The festival will feature tree tapping, sap boiling and food that includes maple syrup.
The event is expected to attract maple syrup enthusiasts, hobbyists and producers from across the state and beyond.
Meanwhile, festival organizers and the Indiana Maple Syrup Association will present Building a Healthy Maple Sugaring Business. The panel will take place on September 12 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the Brown County Public Library in Nashville. The panel will cover local health department inspections, safe and legal maple sugaring and sales. Tickets are $10 per person.
