The Brown County Convention and Visitors Bureau on Friday announced Matt Rust has been appointed as the organization’s new executive director.
Rust previously led the Anderson Madison County Visitors Bureau and most recently served as executive project manager at Church of God Ministries in Anderson.
The bureau said in his new role, Rust will focus on rebuilding relationships with community business partners, addressing past challenges with financial transparency, and leveraging innovative marketing strategies to promote Brown County.
“His extensive background in managing budgets, creating marketing campaigns, and building strong community relationships positions him to lead the Brown County Convention and Visitors Bureau into an exciting new chapter,” the bureau said in a news release.
Rust will begin his new position in February.
