Crews now plan to take down the first section of the bridge next week. It marks the second delay for the project.

Due to predicted high water levels and a swift current on the Ohio River, demolition of the first section of the old Milton-Madison Bridge has been rescheduled for next week. The blast of the 700-foot span is now scheduled for Monday, July 22 at 9:00 a.m. The demolition process will be dependent upon weather and river conditions. More information on the blast will be sent in future advisories.
