Indiana and Kentucky transportation officials say conditions on the Ohio River have forced the delay of the demolition of the old Milton-Madison Bridge. Crews now plan to take down the first section of the bridge next week. It marks the second delay for the project.

July 16, 2013

News Release

Due to predicted high water levels and a swift current on the Ohio River, demolition of the first section of the old Milton-Madison Bridge has been rescheduled for next week. The blast of the 700-foot span is now scheduled for Monday, July 22 at 9:00 a.m. The demolition process will be dependent upon weather and river conditions. More information on the blast will be sent in future advisories.
