A new craft brewery is set to open this week in Griffith. Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana report New Oberpfalz Brewing will offer mostly German-influenced beers as well as a limited food menu. Munster resident Dan Lehnerer is the founder of New Oberpfalz Brewing. He has invested more than $600,000 in the brewery after receiving a U.S. Small Business Administration loan. He says he has been homebrewing for more than ten years.

Lehnerer says the brewery will offer pints, 64-ounce growlers and 4-ounce samplers of its mainstays, seasonal and experimental beers.

The brewery is set to open Thursday.
