Financial details of the expansion were not disclosed, however the company plans to open the new space in late October.
The taproom will be located at what is now the New’s Furniture site. The furniture company plans to close its physical showroom and lease the building to Chapman’s.
"Wabash is a fantastic community with a downtown like no other," said Scott Fergusson, founder of Chapman’s. "The history, the architecture is only exceeded by the attitude of growth and progress from everyone I’ve met. Wabash and Chapman’s are a perfect match."
The Wabash location would the fourth taproom for Chapman’s. The brewery currently has its home base in Angola, as well as locations in Fort Wayne and the recently-opened space in Columbia City.
Pending regulatory approval, Chapman’s expects the new location to open October 28.
