The North American Brass Band Association says its annual championship, which has been held in Fort Wayne since 2015, will return to the city in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
The event brings an estimated economic impact of more than $433,000 each year, according to Visit Fort Wayne. NABBA President Randi Bulla says the city has been a "wonderful host and partner" for the championship event.
"The city, the hotels, and the venues have been wonderful to work with, and have continued to go beyond our expectations," said Bulla. "The 2018 contest will be our fourth year in Fort Wayne, and the Mayor as well as the Visit Fort Wayne team have made it very clear that Fort Wayne wants to have a long-term relationship with NABBA."
The 2018 NABBA Championship will take place April 6-7 at the Embassy Theatre in Fort Wayne. The event attracts bands and musicians from 15 states and Canada.
