BP, Refinery Workers Announce Truce

Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana report United Steelworkers Local 7-1 overwhelmingly voted to accept a new four-year contract. The company and union leadership say the approximately 1,100 workers that walked in early February will be back May 18.
The strike affected a dozen refineries throughout the country.
The publication reports BP put agreements that spell out USW 7-1 bargaining rights in exchange for the assurance the union wouldn't strike while the contract is in affect.
