Bosma Enterprises Growing Footprint
Indianapolis-based Bosma Enterprises says the purchase of a building on the city’s northwest side will increase its warehousing and production space by more than 30 percent. The company, which provides work and training opportunities for people with visual impairments, expects the building to be fully operational by March.
Bosma says it will retain its current location on Woodland Drive in Indianapolis and look to sell its Zionsville Road location. Chief Executive Officer Lou Moneymaker says Bosma had been "searching for years for a location that will meet the diverse needs of our company."
The company says the new building will increase program capacities as well. Bosma says it will increase rehabilitation space by 50 percent, helping it teach skills to live a full and independent life without vision. The company offers training in areas ranging from cooking and cleaning to using state-of-the-art technology. Vice President For Programs Services James Michaels says current space restrictions have led to a six-month waiting period for Bosma’s programs.
The building on Corporate Drive formerly housed Australian Gold.
