Indiana House standing committee assignments for the 2015 legislative session have been announced by Speaker Brian Bosma (R-88). The spots are set every two years. December 3, 2014

News Release

STATEHOUSE – House Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) announced standing committee assignments today for the 119th General Assembly. Standing committee assignments are made biennially after each election.

“I am confident in the abilities of each of these leaders, and I know they are all eager to begin their work,” said Speaker Bosma.

Standing committees are an integral part of the legislative process. Committees with specific expertise receive public testimony and work out the details of proposed legislation before it is heard on the House floor.

“I firmly believe that committees are the workhorses of the institution. I look forward to being a part of a new generation of leaders as they shepherd important bills through our legislative process,” said Speaker Bosma.

The 2015 legislative session begins on Tuesday, January 6th at 1:30pm.
