Borshoff Hires Account Coordinator, Designer

Ali Hernandez was named account coordinator. She provides support for media relations, community relations and internal communications for a variety of Borshoff clients, including health care, nonprofit and information technology. Hernandez is a graduate of Ball State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations and a minor in Spanish, and studied abroad in Segovia, Spain. She gained agency experience working for Cardinal Communications, Ball State’s student-run communications agency, and has volunteered for the Indianapolis Colts, NCAA Men’s Golf Regional and NCAA Women’s Basketball Final Four. The firm also appointed Aaron Shyr (pictured) designer. He is a natural storyteller, designer, and illustrator with experience in video production and animation. Although born in Dallas, Texas, Aaron grew up in Taiwan, China, Japan, and Singapore before coming back to the United States for higher education. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Graphics Technology at Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at IUPUI and had a chance to intern for Hollywood special effects legend, John T. Van Vliet (known for his work on Star Wars: Episode V-The Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and X-Men). Prior to Borshoff, Aaron created projects ranging from award-winning game designs for Indiana University Health to a national commercial for Hurst’s HamBeens. Outside of work, he is very active in the local art and music scene, participating in the IMA’s Know No Stranger: Optical Popsicle 7, Indy Film Fest’s Bigger Picture Show, and The 49 Hours Film Festival Indianapolis.
